Blairgowrie Residence As much a town-house as a beach-house, this two-storey, four-bedroom dwelling was designed for Concept Design and Constructions whose meticulous approach to construction saw it awarded the Master Builders Best New Home National Award in 2005. Perched on a sand ridge behind the Point Nepean National Park, the design addressed the steeply sloping block and often conflicting requirements for views, solar access and multi-zoned living through a cranked, u-shaped floor plan, the considered placement of bedrooms, living rooms and an efficient though engaging circulation path. The lightness of the upper level is off-set by the quiet and shaded lower level, offering respite in summer for children and visitors.
