Ripponlea Additions & Alterations The owners of this distinctive 1920’s ‘Hollywood’-style house were keen to maintain many of its interesting features whilst rationalising its layout and creating some more contemporary living spaces through the provision of increased natural light, greater visual and physical connections between interior and exterior areas, a substantial outdoor entertaining areas and a new pool. The living spaces were arrayed about the new kitchen which now formed the hub of the house. The high raking ceilings of the rear dining room were extended out to the rear portico-like deck whilst ‘long views’ were established down newly straightened and lengthened corridors and progressions through formal rooms.
