Romsey Community & Sports Pavilion Following a commitment from the Federal Government, Architecture Matters were engaged to design the new Sports and Community Pavilion on behalf of the Macedon Ranges Shire Council. Incorporated within the new Community and Sporting facility is accommodation for senior and junior cricket, football and netball as well as a community function room that is serviced by wet and dry kiosk rooms. While providing a formal street entry to the sporting precinct, the pavilion also opens up to a 180 degree vista of the playing ground, with tiered standing to ensure a maximum number of people can view sport while remaining out of the weather. The pavilion provides universal access along with many ESD initiatives that will ensure the sustainability of the building into the future.
